RE: First (annual?) B Out West Social event _ NEW QUESTION

Maybe this can be a regular BEE get together so eventually everyone will make it. Annually or biannually???? Who knows!

RE: RV.net 6th Annual Class B Rally Organizing Thread

Think the only places that you will see restrictions is in resorts that cater to class A's and the like......

RE: B on the road with Chino

It's a Verizon broadband card. They have vastly improved their network over the last year or two. We're getting service in places that used to be "empty". And it should improve even more in the "rural" areas of the midwest after they merge with AllTell. That is if the government lets them.

RE: Problems with AC compressor when running generator

Sounds almost like the continuing problem we have, except when our compressor comes on, it pops the breaker in the genset. The real problem though is that the compressor is short cycling. Had it all checked out by a local Dometic and Onan warranty shop and all electrical readings checked out ok. Because no problems were found, we had to pay for the service check. They did say though that it was probably a PW installation problem because it's getting cold air pulled into the return from somewhere. Nothing visual could be found though.

RE: First (annual?) B Out West Social event _ NEW QUESTION

Julie, Sharon must have forgot to tell you that we were passed the big box of lanyards and plastic name tag holders from the BEE get together at Nebraska to take to Moab. They are still in the van so we don't forget them. We'll count them in the next few days to see how many we've got. At Nebraska the early arrivals just put picnic tables together in a central location for the daily "gathering point/pot luck". Worked wonderful because everyone just brought their own chairs to that point in the evening for the daily gabfest. Someone might try to come up with a source for firewood for the nightly fire though. I hope we can have them there...

RE: oil change in "hanging" microlite....

I'm 220lbs and can just fit under the rear of ours. I always dump the oil "hot" after running the gen for about 10 minutes. Then I back the van up some ramps a bit, then block the front wheels. I have a pump that fits one quart oil can perfect I bought at the parts store. I put the whole quart in as that's how much drains out, and believe it or not, that's what the manual calls for, makes it easy. Done it this way 3 times now, and the level shows right on when I check it after bringing it down from the ramps. Takes about 15 minutes total for the gen. I've been pairing this with my fall oil change on the van....

RE: First (annual?) B Out West Social event _ NEW QUESTION

Just a quick note here....If anyone coming from the east or northeast will be coming through or near the Kansas City area, you're welcome to stop by and spend a the night here at our abode on the way. We're not too far off I-70 to the north, or I-29 to the west. Just give us a PM or a call at 913-351-3993. We'll probably be leaving on or about the 29th of Sept. or so.

RE: 2500 3500 350 - what is the difference between chasis?

On the Chevy/GMC, the 3500 will have a heavier capacity set of springs and rear end, load range "E" tires, bigger brakes, upgraded cooling and a 4L80, vs 4L60, heavier duty transmission. And I believe??? the 6.0 engine is standard on the 3500. The Ford would be pretty much the same situation.....

RE: RV.net 6th Annual Class B Rally Organizing Thread

Yeah, the more I think about it - it probably makes sense just to build on the Moab mini-rally, and see how things go. Once we have more of a core of interested people, we can nominate a site. I think the natural desire to see new places will probably help a western site win - once we have a group of folks to scout them out and nominate them. I thought about a "hurry-up" effort to find maybe a Colorado location - I always enjoy trips through Colorado - but I don't want to organize the thing by myself. Moab will help build friendships. Shane Good idea.....

A concern about Indian Creek resort. It's in the same state as B5, albeit, the opposite end of the state.......

RE: RV.net 6th Annual Class B Rally Organizing Thread

We could do the Columbia site easily. If it's much farther away we probably won't attend because of going the previous month to the LA get together. Looks like a nice campground. Very convenient access off I-70. Maybe Van City would want to get involved because of the location???

RE: BEE Social Group, Lafayette, LA Meeting LA LA

Gene, this "Problem" is strictly for the Moderators. They have rules by which they run the Forum. Please come to the rally, there are no restrictions on rallies, just on where they are posted. The only rally that is restricted to "B" class MH's are the annual Class B rallies. Ditto Gene, get your rears down there!

RE: Digital Converter Box

Again, remember, just because it's digital it may not be HD, but, it has to be digital to be HD. Make sense?
